Our Team
Joseph E. Mitchell has worked for four different major youth program schools. He graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Education. He has had the privilege of working with youth of all ages, not only as a professional educator, but also in positions of trust within ‘troubled youth’ programs. He also has the privilege of experiencing first-hand, daily interactions with his five children, all of whom are adopted and bi-racial.
Alyn C. Mitchell has dedicated her life to bringing out the potential in youth of all ages and abilities in the performing arts. She has worked with youth in ‘troubled teens’ programs as well as in church and civic groups. She is currently working at a counseling center in southern Utah, where she works to educate and enlighten her local community about resources available for special-needs children and youth. She is married to Joseph Mitchell, they have five children.
Alton J. Chamberlain has worked closely in the academic programs of different youth resident facilities. He enjoys interacting with youth and makes even the students who are labeled ‘trouble’ feel valued and respected; in turn, he is given respect and quality responses. Alton graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in education. He taught in public education for seven years, then in private boarding schools for four years, and is now working to bring minority students to higher education at the College of Eastern Utah. He has been Coach of the Year and scoutmaster, and enjoys interacting with youth of all ages – especially his five children, one of whom is autistic.
